last week the new big toy arrived. At the moment I'm very busy but I hope I can concentrate on the project in the next weeks... the first impressions are awesome. Very detailed and overall an awesome quality.





I plan to install a smaller turbine, the new JetCat P130, I think this will be the lower limit but should allow a realistic flight profile.

Here are some updates from the PNP Version, which can be built also on the ARF version. The F-86 comes completely electrical, no more air pressure is needed. The PNP installation is done very good. Very nice job.

Here you can see the opening mechanism of the canopy, looks awesome scale when taxing back and opening the canopy:


In the following 2 photos you can see how the servos for the speed brakes and landing gear door servos are installed:

On the next photos see the ARF PRO WIRED version. All wires are ready, you simply need to install your desired servos. Saves a lot of time but gives the pilot the opportunity to build in his desired servo brand.

Batteries can be easily stored in the front fuselage. You will need all weight in the front to achieve the CG.

Finally the F-86 had the maiden flight and it flies awesome, I will give you more information and videos on my setup.

Here I will update you on my setup for the opening canopy. I recognized that the servo is always under 'load' and may be gets hot when closing the canopy and holding in its place. I did two things to make life easier. First I checked all the screws for the moving canopy and they were all very tight. The screws don't need to be tight, make them more loose that the canopy can slide easily. Second I applied a curve on my servo way, that was easily programmed via my transmitter. Which is a Jeti DC24 but I think it can easily be programmed on all other radios. When applying the switch to close the canopy the canopy moves 100% in the correct position to have the canopy closed but afterwords it just moves back a tiny little way of 2-3% to allow the servo not to push the canopy to the closed position the whole time. And this works also vice versa when opening the canopy.

All in all in looks awesome and works perfectly.
